Note about age suitability: we were mistakenly listed in the “Kids Comedy” section of the festival program guide. Where in Melbourne is Carmen (or Diego)? is primarily designed for adult sleuths, though children aged 10 and up may also enjoy the game if playing with adults. Please contact us if you have any questions!

Carmen (or Diego) sittingOne of the best jokes in the Comedy Festival has gone missing! Rumour says it was stolen by international woman of mystery, Carmen Winnebago. Or possibly her brother, Diego Winnebago. (It’s a vague rumour.) Both are masters of disguise – but luckily a crack team of agents has info on their appearance and location. Can you win their trust and gather enough clues to track down the thief?

In the tradition of classic adventure games and modern pervasive game design, Pop Up Playground presents a new version of their hit street adventure from Melbourne International Games Week 2016. Made especially for Comedy Festival, and featuring local guest comedians as well as a cast of experienced improvisers, Where in Melbourne is Carmen (or Diego)? will have you solving clues, completing challenges and visiting iconic Melbourne CBD locations as you try to find Carmen (or Diego) over the course of an hour.

Where in Melbourne is Carmen (or Diego)? will run from April 1 to 23 as part of the 2017 Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Bookings are now available!

The game will be played outside, and will involve walking, though players are also free to use public transport (the game takes place within the free tram zone). All locations will be wheelchair accessible. You can play alone or in teams; we recommend a team size of up to five. Each player will need a ticket to participate.
