Fresh Air 2015 is crowdfunding on Pozible!
For two years we’ve worked hard on Fresh Air, our annual international games festival at Federation Square, and we’re proud of what we’ve managed to achieve on a tight budget – a fraction of what other similarly sized festivals spend. For 2015 we want to really go all out and make it the biggest and best Fresh Air yet – but to do that, we’re gonna need more money! So Pop Up Playground are launching their first ever crowdfunding campaign with the good folk at Pozible.
We’re looking to raise an additional $11,500, primarily to cover the costs of bringing out an international designer or two for the festival, and we’ve already confirmed Gwyn Morfey, Director of UK game design company Fire Hazard! We also have some other big plans, including a new work just for Fresh Air by leading local puzzle adventure makers, Escape Room Melbourne. But in our third year, we also want to make sure we have the budget to better pay our hardworking team – and all while keeping it free to attend for everyone who wants to come and play.
You can help us out by supporting the campaign, and in return you’ll get some great rewards! We’re designing the first in what will hopefully be a series of StickerGames, games that come on a sticker and that you take with you on your laptop, car or bicycle to play anywhere. You can also a digital edition of our first ever Pop Up Playground Book of Games – a selection of rules for some of our favourite games we’ve created, plus a few new ones you won’t find anywhere else! There are even opportunities to come play games with us at a private games party, learn to make games in an exclusive workshop, or even get a unique adventure game designed by us for you and your friends!
But you don’t have to support us with money – helping spread the word of the campaign to others is every bit as valuable to us.
