We often run playtests for our new games, in which we invite members of the public to come and try out our games before we launch them. It’s an invaluable process, things we think will work perfectly sometimes arn’t as good as we hope when we try them out on players. We also ask the players for their feedback, and often incorporate their suggestions into the game to make it better, more playable or generally more fun.

We learned what we do partly by other people sharing their knowledge and skills, for which we are grateful. So we thought we’d share our own process, to help other people understand what it is we do and how we do it. So this is a playtest for a new game we’re designing called Office Wars. Thanks to our awesome playtesters for helping us out and appearing in this video.
